I bring 25 years of experience including 19 years as a social worker. Since 1998, I have been working here in the Monadnock Region as a child and adolescent therapist at Monadnock Family Services. Other experiences include several psychiatric hospitals, residential programs, substance abuse rehabilitation programs, and an abuse-prevention program for teen parents. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Williams College and a Masters in Social Work from Simmons School of Social Work. I am currently a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Hampshire.
I founded and continue to lead the Adolescent Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT-A) Program at Monadnock Family Services.
I have proven success with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, grieving, problem solving skills, and self harming behaviors. I draw on my years of experience and on-going training in a variety of treatment modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Supportive Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Problem Solving Skills.
When I'm not working, my husband and I enjoy spending as much time as we can outdoors hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
